Usually I am playing with studio light, trudging through the fog or chasing beautiful sunlight and creating those opportunities for your heart to be warmed. I am not the loudest nor am I wearing the latest trends, just imagine your typical artist that wears converse, ripped jeans, Canadian plaid and casually listens to Latin or alt rock music.
I see a lot of myself in my work, it’s adventurous, emotive, genuine and warm.
I love being creative and telling a story through my images. Forever chasing light with an honest and down to earth approach, finding beauty in unlikely places and those in-between moments.
And this is where I’m supposed to tell you random facts about myself so you can get to know me. Things like how much I love Siberian huskies, I dress like a tomboy, or how my favourite place I’ve ever been is Norway, or that I was never the popular kid in high school. Or how I always do random spontaneous sh*t (sorry, mom). This is where I tell you about my love for hiking, travelling, free diving, sea life, and the arts. But none of those things tell you what I’m about, or what makes me connect with people on a deeper level.

Chelsee is absolutely amazing! We couldn’t have been happier with the photos she captured during our engagement session and wedding! Both my husband and I had never really taken professional photos before so we were a little nervous and didn’t really know what to expect during our engagement session. Chelsee’s photography speaks for itself. Her work is stunning. I was nervous to be photographed because I’ve been self-conscious about my larger body after having kids. She helped me find a confidence I thought was forever lost, and that gift is one I’ll cherish forever. I was very comfortable in front of her camera, which would surprise a lot of people because I usually step out of frame when it comes to photos with my family and friends. Her charisma and creative mind, paired with her talent, make her an obvious choice for anyone looking for a photographer. She made our wedding day a genuine dream come true. She helped with planning, picking the right dress shop, the right flower shop, creating a realistic itinerary. She even drove me (the bride) to the wedding ceremony. I can’t help but want to be friends and keep a long friendship with her. Honestly, a queen!

I’ve been a tattoo artist for 5 years. one of the best parts about the job is seeing the confidence grow in people after our session. sometimes it could be covering up an old scar or tattooing an area of the body that my client would typically feel ashamed of or dread looking at. it gives them a sense of pride that they never thought was possible. tattoos can really be quite therapeutic. I got to experience a similar feeling with chelsee after our photoshoot. I have pretty low self esteem but she made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I left the shoot feeling good about myself and once I saw some of the photos, I was blown away. she’s extremely talented and makes her clientele feel beautiful.
